Tasting the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

Mooncakes: Variety of Delicious Flavors for Afternoon Snack at NIMS

Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival, celebrated in most East Asian countries, such as China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. The festival lands on September 13th this year. It is the second most important festival in Asia, after the Chinese Lunar New Year's. The festival reflect on values of family reunion and peace, which we foster this culture and relationship with our young students. We encourage mooncake tasting during our afternoon snack as the sensory experience to start our story behind "the moon festival (中秋節, pronounciaton: zhōngqiū jié) tradition.
